Julian Day – Waiting on God in silence

A look at the life and writings of Julian
of Norwich and an introduction to silent
contemplative prayer. The day will begin
and end with worship and will include
three separate half hours of group
silence, each introduced in a different

future possibilities, including advice on
how to start a Julian Meeting for those
who wish it.

Contemplative Camera

Deepen your practice of contemplative
prayer using the camera as a tool. A
retreat about creativity and fun as well
as exploring the Christian mystical
tradition and the use of silence. No
previous experience of prayer or
photography is necessary but a willingness
to learn and use of the camera are
essential components. Come and find out
how prayer deepens photography and
photography deepens prayer! Please bring a
camera no matter how basic. This is not a
technical photography retreat.

Praying the Jesus Prayer

Prayer and painting

The day start with morning prayer followed
by a talk by Anne entitled 'My painting,
my faith', with supporting images. This
will lead into personal time for art work,
during which Anne will play an active
part. There will be some art materials
available but participants can bring their
own. At the end of the day, those who wish
to can share their work and discuss how
pictures can aid prayer. The day will end
with worship.
