Penhurst Retreat Centre is a non-denominational Christian trust. From its earliest days Penhurst has had a heart for mission and we specialise in supporting mission partners, cross-cultural workers and full-time Christian workers from the UK and overseas. We provide welcome and hospitality to all guests whether staying residentially or visiting for the day, as well as a meeting place for local Christians and churches to seek God together with a focus.

All applicants for paid and volunteer roles need to be in sympathy with the Christian ethos and culture of the charity and committed to the charitable aim of the trust to advance the Christian faith. Where applicants need to be committed Christians due to the nature of the role this is specified.

Deputy Director Vacancy

Penhurst Retreat Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Director to work alongside the Centre Director in leading our 7 person staff-team and managing the Centre’s day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a Christian organisation, ensuring our Christian values and mission remain at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership, hospitality, and management skills to assist in growing our occupancy and serving a diverse range of guests, with a special focus on supporting missionary visitors. He/She will deputise for the Centre Director as required. If you have a heart for Christian ministry and experience in hospitality and the running of a small-to-medium enterprise, this could be the role for you.
