Looking over God`s Shoulder (Online via Zoom)

Drawing from the book, `Re-imagining the Ignatian Examen` by Mark E. Thibodeaux, SJ, the day will include time on entering into prayer, gratitude, looking back from the Father`s arms (a reference to Henri Nouwen`s encouragement of how we look back on past events) and the practice of praydreaming (i.e. prayerful imagining).

Lent is a significant period on the modern Christian calendar, just as it was for the ancient Celtic Christians. On this retreat, David Cole, author of the book Celtic Lent (BRF), will be sharing aspects of Lent and the lead up to Easter as celebrated and focused on by the ancient Celtic Christians and monastic centres.

Jen, Carol and the Beauty from Ashes team are so looking forward to sharing a Quiet Day with you. There will be some very short talks, some sharing in small groups (no pressure to contribute if you prefer not to do so) and some space for you to be alone with the Lord in reflection and stillness.
