Creating Flowers With Crepe Paper
Relax Play And Create Day Retreat

This retreat has already started, if you would still like to take part then please contact us.

If you like flowers and enjoy making things with paper, then this is for you! Using Crepe paper, glue and wire, we will construct with the use of templates, some paper flowers. You will be learning how to shape, cut and connect the paper to wires and end up with realistic looking specimens. There will be lots of advice on how to use a variety of materials and different types and weights of paper available to you. Making flowers in crepe paperí is a suitable activity for all stages of ability.

The flowers we make will be as close to their natural size as possible, and you will be guided on how to build, shape, cut, glue, attach and assemble the surprisingly durable end result. As the artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh once said:
"Let every artist strive to make his flower a beautiful living thing, something that will convince the world that there may be, there are, things more precious more beautiful more lasting than life itself. You must offer the flowers of the art that is in you, the symbols of all that is noble and beautiful and inspiring, flowers that will often change a leaf into an estimated and thoughtful thing."
