A silent retreat for all in Christian Leadership roles: Although the fact is that all Christians, irrespective of gender or situation are leaders, those that the Church Congregation looks up to as a leader are in a vastly different situation and capacity and have a far greater responsibility. They must always be aware of the fact that their Christian Leadership is not some kind of glamorous career destination or personal reward for reaching the top. Christian Leadership is, for those in this situation, a resource that is to be shared and  is only good leadership when the Church as an entity benefits from it. On this retreat, we will then follow and explore the ways of Jesus ultimate example of leadership, that of being a servant. And Jesus example of servant leadership applies to all and to any in positions of leadership in Gods Church.

We will follow the example of Christs Servant Leadership in four stages:

1) That of a person, who, like Jesus, submits themselves to Gods purposes well beyond their own personal interests.
2) A leader that uses the power and authority that is entrusted to them with thought, wisdom and care.
3) A servant who, out of love, always serves others needs before their own.
4) A teacher who teaches their congregation, both in word and in deed, how to become the servant leaders that God needs.

Jesus passed on His example, knowledge and commitment to us through others, and we, as leaders, must do the same.

With the exception of our lunchtime, the days will be in silence. There will be opportunities to have some 1-1 time. Prayers will be held each evening in the Chapel.
