Do you sometimes feel like you are pouring out of an empty cup? Well, this is an opportunity to refuel and refresh. The retreat is for people who work in Christian charities, missions, ministries or churches and also those in caring professions and roles such as medics, teachers, social workers and parents - people who spend their lives pouring out to others and sometimes forget to look after themselves.

The retreat will be a mix of brief and interactive input sessions and plenty of individual reflection time, where each person can find space in a summer house or comfy chair to think and journal. There will be the opportunity for optional one-to-one time with the retreat leader.

We will look at biblical perspectives on rest, including imaginative mediations on a few gospel stories, reflect on why rest and refuelling is necessary to our sustainability in ministry and what drives our resistance to it.

We will also have practical and interactive sessions on how we refuel and the boundaries that are needed to do so.
