There is something special about creating with paper. Come and join in crafting realistic looking flowers out of crepe paper, wire and paint, dipping into a magical botanical world with twists to captivate the imagination. If you like attention to detail and enjoy using your hands to create in a slow methodical way, this will captivate you and hopefully inspire you to continue with this spectacular craft after you leave the retreat.

We will work together as a group, but there will be time made for one to one`s if wanted. The pace will be slow, helping you to unwind from the busyness of life, enjoy being with other creative people and enjoy just being.

All equipment and materials will be provided.

Retreat leader, Viv Walkington writes: "I am captivated by the natural world. I like to explore different creative ways of expressing the love I have for it. I am in essence a watercolour painter, and have painted many scenes of Penhurst over the last 10 years. Collage, mono printing, sewing and knitting are other things I dip into, but recently I have enjoyed making realistic botanical subjects with crepe paper and wire. The results of this discipline are a joy to behold, which is why I have chosen to share them on this retreat. This 3D art form has endless possibilities to be explored, the results are so realistic, and of course, they will last forever."
