An opportunity to get your hands dirty! Whether you are a regular guest or new to Penhurst, come and join us in some practical projects around the house and grounds. Come and enjoy the beauty and fellowship of Penhurst, while also helping maintain and develop the centre together. If you cannot make the whole weekend, there is also the option to come for Saturday only - see separate event listing.

Possible projects for this weekend include the following, and will be updated as needed:

Apple Harvest - As the apple trees are shaken, help gather the falling apples into crates, ready to be taken to a local farm for pressing into apple juice.

Penhurst Pickles and Chutney - Chopping lots of veg, stirring the pot and filling jars with lovely home-made pickle and chutney.

Various garden projects - for example, working on a willow fence, rejuvenating the small pond, or siting a new pergola.

Following a short briefing, the projects which will take place for about 4-5 hours on Saturday (with a break for a hearty Penhurst lunch), followed by time for a satisfying rest and fellowship. Some projects may be finished on Sunday morning as appropriate, followed by a hearty Penhurst lunch.

The normal Penhurst rhythm of prayer will also be offered on Friday and Saturday.
