Return of the Prodigal Son

From 4:00pm on Friday 6th February till 2:00pm on Sunday 8th February

Return Of The Prodigal Son

How can a Jesuit priest, a carpenter’s son and a troubled artist help us in our everyday longings to live a meaningful life? We will take time with Henri Nouwen’s insights on Jesus’ parable of the prodigal son, Rembrandt’s painting of it and how these apply in our daily living and breathing. The retreat is an invitation to engage with these ideas at both head and heart level, and will include elements from contemplative Christianity such as lectio and visio divina and breathing prayers, as well as plenty of free time to rest in God, discover your authentic response and enjoy this wonder-filled place. A typical day will feature three sessions of 40 - 60mins input, as well as optional exercises you can do in your free time.
