Martha feels resentful because she is doing more than her fair share of the work, sound familiar? Are you tired of hearing that you need to be more like Mary? Is there another side to the story? Martha receives a time management tip from Jesus - really? Want to know what it is? Martha is disrespectful to Jesus. How does he take it? Martha goes on a journey with Jesus and her faith-statement equals Peter’s. Martha learns to like who she is and use her gifts to honour Jesus. During this led-retreat, we explore Martha’s journey as we meditate on God’s word together and apply it to our lives. There will be Bible teaching from the group leader, Shirley, and group discussion, reflection and prayer. There will be an expectation to join in the group work, but no pressure to speak about anything you are not comfortable to talk about. There will also be scheduled time for individual reflection
