There is much to reflect on the story of Christianity reaching and developing in our nation. Over two millennia the church had a profound influence on shaping our world, while itself adapting to the societal changes that were emerging. Alongside our rejoicing in that story, there is also much to forgive and learn as we encounter the uncertainties of the current era. This retreat is an opportunity to look back at the story of England’s church, conveyed through selective spiritual readings and mosaic illustrations, fragments that come together with a message of hope.
