Carol Morgan
I spent many years in the NHS as a nurse, midwife and health visitor. I spent time as a student in Israel and Nairobi, working amongst the most deprived, and teaching. Once my children were older, I became ordained as a priest in the church of England, where I worked in urban deprivation areas. I have done chaplaincy in a young offenders institution, in a centre for the homeless, a women’s refuge and conferences. I believe God turns up in the toughest of places, even church.
I am training in spiritual direction, and have studied history of art. My passion is helping people to find and express their spirituality through artistic expression. I spend a lot of my time painting and drawing, and am frequently to be found with paint all over me. I have two rag doll cats and two energetic retrievers.
I am married with three adult children, one of whom is neurodiverse.

Painting the Story of Mary
We will dwell in the story of Mary, mother of Jesus using drawings and watercolour to describe and listen more deeply to the events that mean the most to us. No artistic skill required, it is about encountering the story and allowing it to become prayer.
