I was a PE teacher and then a Scripture Union Schools worker in the north before God took me 4000 miles away to Pakistan with Interserve. Scripture Union Pakistan, Interserve leadership, and member care across the international agencies and national Christians - plus the local church and various significant international events, training in pastoral skills, spiritual accompaniment and leadership, and wonderful Pakistani culture, all shaped me over the following 30 years. At the end of 2016 God brought me back to Chester to give back to the church which sent me out, and to build back into relationships with family and friends - `returned but not retired` was how I described what I was doing, continuing things I had learned overseas but back in the UK culture. That`s still how I see it.
